If I Lived At 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue...

...I would try to act and talk Presidential, not stupid and vapid. And I'd talk about how to make the world better, not more fearful or intolerant. I'd tell the truth instead of lies. I'd offer ideas on how to fix economies, health care shortages, global warming, public schools, divisive thinking and other stuff that's pretty important, too. ...I would be clear with the American people about the things we clearly SHOULD consider to be clear threats to democracy and things we shouldn't.

Things we SHOULD consider to be clear threats to democracy:
1. Dishonesty and lying
2. Fake news
3. Gerrymandering and rigged elections
4. Cronyism and nepotism
5. Narrow-minded judges
6. Wars with no strategies for peace
7. An international attitude of arrogance and indifference
8. Stupidity and ignorance at the highest levels of government
9. Churches that get actively involved in political campaigns
10. Smug, snarky, self-important jerks like Karl Rove, Jack Abramoff, Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld.

Things we SHOULD NOT consider to be clear threats to democracy (or American society/life/family as we know it:
1. Gay people or gay marriage
2. Charles Darwin and sound science
3. Social security
4. A national health plan, like nearly everyone else in the industrialized/civilized world has
5. A free press and reporters who ask hard questions without fear
6. Women (especially with with ideas)
7. Birth control or sound family planning advice
8. Open-minded people who are willing to change with the times. It quit being the 1950s more than 50 years ago, you know....
